Our purpose is to preserve for future generations a record of our
pioneer forbearers who settled within the bluffs and
hollows along the Missouri River in the region known as
the Middle Missouri Valley. This is the story of these
stouthearted souls who with strength and courage founded
the early settlements of the area which was at the time the out most
boundary of the United States. This we do so that
our children, and children's children may know of their noble heritage.
This site is divided into two areas for research, the
"database" using TNG software to establish a record
maintained by registered administrators, and the "Wiki"
inviting all to share their information. The data
gathered in the "Wiki" may be added to the "database".
This is an effort to create a collaborative means
to search and share information about the lives of the
pioneers and history of the country they loved so well.
We meet the 2nd Saturday of each month, 10 AM at the Western Historic Trails
Center at
3434 Richard Downing Ave
Council Bluffs, IA
